Pittro Posted April 5 Posted April 5 With a NVMe storage will I be able to transfer file recordings from this drive with a usb adapter to pc by powering down Buzztv 6 then connecting to pc to save ?? Quote
Emporium Posted April 5 Posted April 5 You probably can, but I think that would be a complete waste, and just adding wear and tear on the nvme connector unnecessarily. If you plan to move the drive back and forth, then why not just use a USB key instead of an nvme drive ? nvme drives are not designed to be plugged and unplugged mechanically frequently. I personally just use a file manager (in my case, I like Solid explorer, but any one you like should work), and I transfer files to/from by buzz boxes and my NAS using the network connection. My P6 is wired and so is my NAS, so it's quite simple. Keep in mind that names of recordings are not always obvious to be able to identify them. 1 Quote
Pittro Posted April 7 Author Posted April 7 yes i figured that would be a better option..thanks Quote

Emporium Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I use Solid Explorer and I transfer them direct to my NAS server (SMB share). I am using an older version since at one point solid explorer did not like AndroidTV, but I have not tried anything newer, so that may have been corrected in recent versions. Quote
Pittro Posted Monday at 12:58 PM Author Posted Monday at 12:58 PM (edited) also how come some recordings dont finish.. its hit or miss.. pretty upsetting..how do i improve this..i set recordings to my SVMe storage .. testing different ways 1, leaving box on 2. shutting box off 3. leaving it on that same channel no solutions yet Edited Monday at 01:00 PM by Pittro Quote
dishuser Posted Monday at 01:09 PM Posted Monday at 01:09 PM if stream gets interupted the recording stops Quote
Pittro Posted Monday at 01:30 PM Author Posted Monday at 01:30 PM thats pretty sad when you have a top rated box..ultra fast internet..and one litlle interuption & recording stops..the only way to correct this is a cloud server I guess..and that not possible on IPTV Quote
dishuser Posted Monday at 01:32 PM Posted Monday at 01:32 PM or find a better service I rarely have an issue recording 1 Quote
Emporium Posted Monday at 02:36 PM Posted Monday at 02:36 PM Many services have Catchup on many channels, which allows you to go back a few days and watch something that has played a few days ago (cloud server recording), and you can even download the catchup episodes if you want. Quote

Pittro Posted Monday at 06:33 PM Author Posted Monday at 06:33 PM My question is I have recordings on my internal hard drive that I installed I'm trying to transfer those recordings to my thumb drive that I put in USB using ES File Explorer but I can't seem to find the recordings in my SD drive they're not there but they show up on Buzz TV 6 recordings maybe I should reboot my power station and then they show up in es File Explorer... I want to send my recordings to my PC Quote
Pittro Posted Monday at 06:41 PM Author Posted Monday at 06:41 PM (edited) You may ask why don't I send my recordings to a USB thumb drive.. that's where I was having the recording problems I have no problem recording straight to my SD internal 1tb drive that's why I want to transfer those files to a flash drive or my PC I heard you can Network those files to my PC but that's where I'm lost I need directions to do that...lol Edited Monday at 06:43 PM by Pittro Quote
Emporium Posted Monday at 09:43 PM Posted Monday at 09:43 PM I just did a quick test and I tried with various file manager but at the end I managed to get it to work with "X-Plore File manager" (available on aptoide store). Took a little bit to get it to accept all the permissions, but eventually got it. The directory where the files are stored are on device android\data\com.buzztv.iptv\file\pvr There is a .ts file and a .jpeg file for each recording. I was able to select the various .ts files and copy them to another destination (usb or even network). Keep in mind that this is Android 13, so permissions are more restrictive (like any more modern OS), so the file explorer you choose to use needs to be able to request the permissions and you will need to grant them as you go along. The app (X-Plore) even allows you to configure and start an FTP server if you want to be able to connect from your PC to the P6. You can set the directory above as the root directory also. I tried it and then used FileZilla FTP client on my laptop and was able to connect and transfer everything from the nvme, onto my laptop. Hell, can even automate transfers if I wanted not crazy about the interface of the app, since I don't think it was optmized for TV use, but can manage with using the mouse cursor a little and once you do it once, then after that, all you need to do is click on the "start FTP server button". 2 Quote
dishuser Posted Monday at 10:45 PM Posted Monday at 10:45 PM just tried this app and I don't have android\data\com.buzztv.iptv\file\pvr Quote
dishuser Posted Tuesday at 01:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:48 AM I found it in the folder recordings good thing for thumbnails...lol Quote
Emporium Posted Tuesday at 02:23 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:23 AM Hmm.. Interesting.. My recordings directory is empty.. but I they are all under android/data/com.buzztv.iptv/files/pvr Mind you, those recording have been there for a while, so I just tried another one and it also went to the same directory. So don't know what triggers yours to go to the Recordings directory. I even formatted a new USB stick, inserted it, changed destination, did a recording, then removed stick and put in my PC, and recordings were in the same directory as above. Bizarre. Either way, at least with FTP server on this x-plorer file manager, it makes bulk downloading super easy and can probably even script it with a little effort 2 Quote
dishuser Posted Tuesday at 02:30 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:30 AM I noticed that it has a different file name than what shows in es file explorer but both are in recordings folder Quote
