buzzTVVTzzub Posted April 1 Posted April 1 As title says my buzzTV defaults to 480p every time I turn it on OR turn my TV off and on again. I keep having to change to 1080p every time. I selected to choose best resolution and it will still default to 1080p. My tv is a Samsung 7 Series (4K) so it should be fine. Just a note that this is a new issue in the past month and I’ve had my box for over a year. Quote
Emporium Posted April 1 Posted April 1 This is the EDID information is either missing from your TV, or corrupted. Have you tried a different HDMI cable ? Tried the box on a different TV (or even a computer monitor) ? Have you tried plugging the box into another HDMI port on the TV ? 1 Quote

Emporium Posted Friday at 01:04 PM Posted Friday at 01:04 PM WHAT was the solution ? This STILL has nothing to do with BuzzTV 5 app. If it had anything to do with something it may be the firmware on your box. BuzzTV 5 is the app which has nothing to do with the resolution the box defaults to. 3 Quote

Thought it was the box or my tv bc all my other systems work just fine. Thanks for the tip. Overlooked that the hdmi could be the issue. Quote

Least you could do was provide some inkling of an idea if you were gonna bother to reply here. I'm glad you found your issue, which is exactly what I recommend in my FIRST reply. So I did provide an idea. But that still does not change the fact that the problem (even the way you initially described it), has nothing to do with BUZZTV 5. There are different categories in the forum for a reason. BuzzTV 5 is the APP that runs on your BuzzTV Box, after the box has already booted (there is a distinction). It has nothing to do with whatever resolution your box boots up into. And after all these replies, worst part is, we still don't know what specific hardware (box model) this was And the issue should have been posted in the hardware section for that specific model of box you have. 3 Quote
