NLich Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Good day everyone, I’ve had one of each, XR4000 and XRS4000 boxes for quite a few years now but have never been able to connect any Bluetooth headphones. Both boxes will detect the devices during pairing but then come up as “couldn’t connect” or Bluetooth crashes altogether. I’ve tried factory reset, clearing Bluetooth cache/data, tried 5 different Bluetooth headphones. Also tried turning off wifi, moving box to a different location to rule out interference. I recently updated to BuzzTV 5 on the XRS4000 box, but the problem is still there. XRS4000, firmware v20220919 I noticed a few posts regarding this in the past, but there was nothing conclusive. Any suggestions? Thank you. Quote
Emporium Posted November 11 Posted November 11 I know it sounds dumb, but first try changing your power key definition to shutdown. Then turn off both BT and WiFi. Then do an actual shutdown (you should see it say "shutting down"). Then power back up, enable both BT and WiFi. Then try to pair your headphones. 2 Quote

I did try this, but still same problem; bluetooth system app completely crashes. Thank you for the suggestion. Quote
dishuser Posted November 12 Posted November 12 did you try only enabling bt after a restart? after pairing then turn wifi on 1 Quote

Started the box up; once it booted back up, I left WIFI off and enabled BT. Still not able to pair. This time now BT will not even power on. I am able to flip the slider to the "ON" position, but "add accessory" option is greyed out not allowing me to even begin searching. This is on the XRS4000 box. The XR4000 still allows me to turn BT on, search accessory, but during pairing it gives me "can't pair" and within a few seconds BT crashes. Thank you. Quote
Emporium Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Pretty sure the both of those 4000 devices were only BT4.2. So obviously the headphones would need to be able to also connect to older BT 4.2 device. Quote

I looked up specs for the different BT headphones I was trying to pair; they are all BT 4 and higher. I also tried an older BT 3 device last night on the XR4000 (BT 4.2) box, but same issue. Thank you. Quote
