When I change the TV input ,from my BuzzTV X5 to something else like satellite or OTA antenna, then go back to the X5 input , the channel always changes from where I left it. Usually jumps 1-3 channels. Is this a software or hardware problem. It does it on all servers.

From another thread in this forum (if you search for "VIZIO"..

Mute key on your Vizio remote use the same NEC IR code as our (BUZZ) #9

So if you hit the Mute key on your Vizio remote, you will see a #9 show up on your Buzz box 🙂

Yes, that does occur. I found that the "OK" button on my Vizio remote is changing the channel on my BuzzTV receiver.

So that would explain it 🙂

Vizio is notorious for that.  When my mom had hers, it would interfere with the Buzz Box, and even her Electric fireplace.  I had to put a cover over the fireplace IR receiver and use the on unit buttons since it was annoying to accidently turn it on.

Guess there is not much you can do for this.  Just "workarounds" depending on how you use it.

Enjoy your experimentation.

Yes, while not a major concern, it is somewhat irritating. Just glad it's not a faulty receiver.
