Formatted HHD drive

Mr.NBS can you please give me a tutoring of how you format your hard drive into your Buzz 4900 box how do you format the drive please tell me how to do it I have someone format a drive for me on a computer to ntfs and when i put it into the 4900 under storage it is showing me new volume is safely ejected and i cannot access the drive so can NBS or anyone else tell me how can i use the 4900 box to  format the drive .

device preferences ,storage ,removable storage .click on your drive,set up as device storage, format

My 4900 is now recognize my HHD drive now but when hit the record button how do you know when the program is recording, and where do you go to play back a recording can someone explain it to me.

it will show rec in top right

click pvr button on remote to play it

Should recording be on ascendency or dependency
