Mac address change on BuzzTV VidStick MAX

I am not able to change the MAC address on my  BuzzTV VidStick MAX. Is there a way around this to do so?

I was able to change it in my older BuzzTV 3000 box. I feel like I just downgraded. 

 

2)

Also, I am not able to pair the bluetooth 200 remote to the VidStick or my TV. Do i have to use the IR extension wire?

No it's not an option 

Last buzz box to have that option was the 3900

are you holding the ok and -volume buttons down while it scans?

How do i know it is scanning?
