I show recorded content, and click on watch it spins and goes back to pvr screen without playing

Buzz tv has two players

Menu,  configuration,

Go to permissions and see if storage it on

also how are you recording?

are you recording one channel while watching another?

I select to rec on guide. It records. Click on watch, nothing.

Tried both default and secondary players, turned on storage permissions. Not watching while recording. 

Shows the recording, a checkmark and the date, click watch, nothing

so you set up a recording and don't use the box until it's over?

Try in permissions and check the buzz TV app is storage on. I've had a few like this and it resolved it
