OTA update available but will not download on my ST4000

My ST4000 keeps popping up the message that an update is available. When I attempt to download it fails every time. What makes it worse is that it keeps popping up the message when I am watching movies or sports etc. Can you give some advise?

have you tried to turn off automatic update?

Thanks for your reply How do I do that? And why cant I download the old FEB. 7 update.
