  2. I have been having issues with one of three STB's not streaming. This has been going on for several months now. My provider just informed that he found some one in Germany using the same MAC! Is it possible to activate a VPN on just that one STB ( have not had any problems with the other two)? Thank you,
  3. The 4500's are version 9, the latest firmware has been installed and the default Buzz Modern is being used. I did have them connected to a separate router & it made no difference. I have not tried VPN. Thank you for the replys
  4. Yes to both. I did a reset and downloaded the latest update. The cache was also deleted.
  5. I have 2 XRS4500's & 1 XRS 4900. I use the same provider for all 3 and they are all wireless. the 4500's freeze on a regular basis (at times every 10 to 15 seconds) but not the 4900. I disconnected a freezing 4500 connected the 4900, no freezing. Is connected to the same tv, cables, internet, modem/wireless router (due to location I need to connect with WiFi) and provider server. Any suggestions as how to correct this (without buying a 4900) would be appreciated. Thank you
  6. I have only had this box for a few weeks and as you said the batteries went completely dead, I will change them again. Even with the back lite they should last longer than a couple of weeks. there must be something else draining the batteries like that. I use Duracell Pro batteries , maybe I will try Lithium and see what happens. I have 2 4500 and have never had any problems. Thank you for the reply.
  7. When scrolling through both channels and categories the topics will start moving so fast you cannot read them! It is as if the remote button is stuck ( it isn't) . When this happens I cannot stop it, it will stop on it's own. I tried a remote from 4500 and it does the same thing. Also when I try to shut down, I press and hold the off button till I get the box in the right hand corner, then press shutdown. The question on the screen will ask if I want to be "safe mode". This will happen a couple of times till it shuts down. Any input regarding these two issues would be appreciated. Thank you

  9. I trued that also and it does nothing. Another thing it does not come up with a place to enter the information, it just says "Cannot Load portal: Login and password required" and below that it says Try again Cancel
  10. I had never set up xc api in the past and just did & it did not help.
  11. I just paired it for the first time. I use mac not I have never used xc api. It is odd that this happened over night. Would a hard reset help?
  12. The remote is paired and continues to be slow. I have had the box for over a year and never had to pair & it worked without any problems. Maybe you know what password it is looking for to load the portal. Once again this has not come up with this STB or the second one that I am using . My provider does not require a password either. What is strange is only one out of the two boxes are asking for the password & they use the same provider! Thanks again for you help
  13. The problem is I never paired it and it work perfectly. As I said it is very slow & at times it will not move at all.
  14. My XRS 4500 was working perfectly then the next day when I turned it on the remote was very slow (like in minutes) before it would make the change. I replaced the batteries, tried a different remote, did a reset, updated and rebooted several times ( I don't use the infrared). Also when I try to load portals it asked for "Login and Password" which it has never asked for this in the past (this also occurred prior to the update). Where would this be entered???
