I only have had one box at a time with power hooked up about 5-6 years ago I didn't and had to do a reset on the box I wasn't using because it was taking commands from the remote at neighbourhood bar they have 4 boxes hooked up and have 3 of them covered with a cardboard shell so IR won't work on those 3
