Not much du, I managed to find a way around the turnon/off issues with my box. otherwise, was just wondering will Team Buzz maintain the updates on 3900 for few more years?

Also, I would like to buy another 3900 as the new Buzz models do not change mac accounts, so my question is that is the Buzz team going to keep the updates going for the 3900 ? if so, for how much longer?

I just received my second xpl 3900 and supposed to have an installed 80 GB SSD by Bob ( The Seller) however, I still do not see the Kingston SSD in the "File Browser" ?

but when I went to look for it , I see it

Seetings-->More-->Storage&reset-->INTEL SS USB drive (73 GB)

total space: 11 GB

Reset:

Factory data reset

That's all I see there and no sign of Kingston SSD that was 80 GB

I bought my xpl 3900  from Bob's Electronics who is a very good and honest person and I highly recommend him

His 3900 comes with 80 SSD ( paying extra for the ssd of course) and was working fine till few days ago, that it has disappeared from the 3900 box and I can not find it.

I was wondering if any of you fine people can help me with that ?

Hello all and thank you for your help.

Last couple of days I noticed that when I turn on the buzz tv 3900 and go to Settings----> Servers  instead of opening the Server setting page, the whole screen goes grey and stays grey

So, I press on "home" button and get out and try again and this time, it gets stuck on Server stage before opening Server setting page

And it takes finally a third attempt to get me to the server setting page to pick my server and watch tv

What's going on?

I had not used my xpl 3000 model for a while, so I decided to try it out and noticed that started an update by downloading it, but never gave me thumbs up finishing and installing it?!

Am I missing a step that I am supposed to be doing to complete this process?

Those Playlist Slots are versatile in that they can function in a few different ways.

As does the available Slot types (Sever,  Stream and m3u). They give multiple ways to use iptv.

 

Back to the the m3u slots...

If you grab the Playlist URL from the source,  weather that is an open public Playlist or your own private playlists, they all have a URL.

Enter that URL into the appropriate line in that Playlist slot and save that and then enter an EPG URL (if available) for that Playlist and save that too.

This slot  then becomes just like a Server Slot connection, in that you get all new updates thru the service  ,meaning any newly added channels and etc.

 

I think most of the reason that this is not a popular method is because to enter that playlist URL and the EPG URL involve a long process in typing them URLs into the appropriate lines , and them URLs are generally rather  lengthy.

But it can be a unique method that allows you to use alternative EPG URLs instead of being restricted to the service supplied EPG source.

And then plus there is the  fact that a mistake may be made in all that typing, and then it does not connect and we wonder why

But there is an easy way to do this and it will also ensure that there are no mistakes made.

You need the Total Commander File Manager installed on your box.

Other File Managers will work for this but after trying many of them,  I found the Total Commander to work the most efficient for this process.

It involves the copy and paste functions.

I really wish xpl 3900 came with the option for people to pick what they want in a way that if I want 10 server slots and 3 m3u playlist or if I decided to want all 13 in a form of either Server or m3u format.....that would have been awesome

But, not being able to switch back my server slot , it hurts   and now I have 9 Server slots and 4 m3u playlists

Also, if conversion is not possible between Server slots and m3u slots, why did my 3900 do that? and how?
