The only issue I have and it's not a VPN issue....is that when you click power button to put device in standby mode it kills the app. You then have to either reconnect vpn or switch off/on wifi. Buzz units has always killed apps when you put the device in standby mode. If anyone has a way to avoid this kindly share

How do you mean Bluetooth is disconnected and IR is only working? That doesn't sound right

Seems like he's on a channel that he might have mistakenly locked and obviously he can't navigate to a different category. Remember locked channels has its own category.
Can you tell us what channel category you are in?

for epg you need to enter epg url.
I would use XC option with username and password instead of m3u option if possible. with this option you enter url, username and password and thats it. I think its better option.
Remember there is issue with buzz not reading m3u file but I agree xc login option is better.

I did experience sound loss on the 4900 using wicked and I was watching a 24hr TV series channel.
What happened was I changed the channel and went back to the previous and there was no sound. I clicked left arrow button to bring up sidebar and audio option said disabled. I had to wait a few hours for it to come back. I never reported it to wicked because I hardly watch the channel and it was no biggie.
But I haven't experienced sound loss on regular channels on the 4900. Only the units using buzz tv4

There is a way...... Upgrade to the 4900 buzz unit and get a service that supports record one channel while you watch another. Good luck!

I don't get this on the 4900 which uses buzz tv 5 software. However, units with the buzz tv4 software experience this once in awhile when the channel freezes

I was able to use the PVR function and recorded to the drive OK. For some reason, using the file browser, I could not write to it.
Connected via the USB-C cable to my Windows desktop PC, also laptop I do not see the drive or the XRS4900 at all. I tried formatted the SATA drive both as internal system drive or external drive, but everytime I connected the XRS to my PC, that drive disappeared. I am very familiar with Android, having several android samsung phones and tablets and normally when you connect an android device to the pc, a box should pop up on the android device to ask whether you allow it to be charged or transfer data. I do not see anything from the XRS 4900. Maybe that is why I could not see it from my PC ?
I can somewhat confirm some of this and it goes way back to the 3000 series. I used to try to connect my phone to the buzz but it would never detect the mobile. Tried with future models and it still doesnt detect my mobile like a windows pc would do so transferring files to and fro is a no-no.
I am unable to write to disk using pre-installed file browser.

I actually got a trial from a guy with https and it didn't work. When I told him he had to do something on his end to make it work. I have no idea what he did but he asked if I was using a VPN, when I confirmed he tweaked something. But channel zapping was the fastest I've ever seen on a service.
