Using that logic, doesn't make mdarcy any newer in the P6, does it

No matter what app (Aida64, developer tools and devcheck) I use to see device/system information, Nvidia name appears. It list Nvidia as manufacturer and brand. It also comes up with mdarcy on product name and/or fingerprint. Mdarcy was a codename for Nvidia shield and still used to this day. Devcheck actually lists this P6 as Nvidia Shield TV Pro. I'm just curious as to association between the P6 and Nvidia?

I didn't see any specifications (other than it states that needs adequate system air flow to work properly) on how tall that heatsink is but looks kinda tall and wonder if the P6 cover would even fit back on. Another issue is the connection where you plug the NVME in, is way under the plastic you cannot remove and you have to install the drive on a slight angle and again wondering if there is enough space there to begin with. If it does fit I would wonder if it would be helping or hurting due to constricted air space/flow. Not an expert here but just my 2 cents

Any updates on when this firmware is coming out? Not pushing, just asking. (The following is just general information that may be useful to someone, not looking for any support here) Since I have been waiting to fill up my NVME drive, I had time to experiment with an off brand 4TB NVME drive, I know not officially certified to use/work, but I was bored and nothing to loose. It recognized the drive with no problem and I tried formatted as external first. Well it seemed to do something but then kicked me out right back to my home screen. Went back into settings and it listed the drive but said safely ejected. To know avail could I see/use this drive as external. So I used my laptop and erased that volume and put it back in my P6 and tried formatting as internal. Well this ended up working well. It formatted and acts exactly like it is supposed to. It works just like my 2TB Samsung drive does, meaning it has the same issues as previously noted. But anyway I am keeping that drive in as internal for now until new firmware comes out and will see how things work then and will decide which drive I will keep in at that time and wether it will be internal or external.

Out of curiosity I decided to plug in an external USB drive. I still have the NVME external drive installed while doing this. I was kind of surprised at what I found considering I was expecting nothing to happen. Regular USB drive:I got a pop up message asking if I wanted to use file manager with this drive. I answered yes but after that I couldn't see or use this drive anywhere. I tried to reboot while this drive was plugged in but it wouldn't reboot at all until I unplugged that drive. USB-C external drive: I just happened to have one of these laying around so what the heck. When I plugged it in, I didn't get any notifications at all, so figured it was going to be a quick dead end. However in settings/storage it was listed there right below my NVME drive. I clicked on that USB-C drive figuring it would let me do a format either as internal or external like the NVME drive but as soon as I clicked on it, my home screen instantly popped up. I figured well that's that. But I opened my file manager and there it was listed with my other drive and I was able to access it. I then did a reboot to see if it would and it rebooted just fine. So on the outside it didn't look like it was going to work but it does. This kind of opens up other options that I didn't know I was going to have. Long story short (I know too late), was this supposed to work having 2 external drives to begin with or just something I happen to stumble on?

You certainly have my backup scenario looking like a open window, lol. I certainly wasn't implying you didn't understand backups by any means, more food for thought for others that may read the thread. Nothing but respect to you and others that have much more knowledge here than I do.

In my case I don't have any worries about losing the data on the NVME drive. I actually have all these files on my qnap server and also another on a USB drive. Backups are very important no matter what device you have. My qnap actually got hit with that 7 zip ransomware and locked me out of all my pictures but since I had the backup on my USB drive, it didn't affect me other than time to reset the Qnap. Thanks for the info and advice. Will be looking forward for that OTA.

Okay had time to spend on this P6 today. Here's what I found out after formatting my NVME as internal. First I couldn't see or access the internal 128 gb in any file manager apps, just the 2tb NVME. I didn't really care about that part cause I am just installing apps on that drive but can see where it might be a problem down the line. It still showed up in settings under storage. The apps were still installed on that 128gb drive and when I installed an app it installed on my nvme drive and I was able to move it to the internal drive. Second, while syncing data back to my NVME drive, the sync failed and upon investigating the NVME drive was listed as removable storage instead of internal in settings again, same issue as before. So I then formatted the NVME as removable storage to eliminate that issue from happening all together. Well another issue came into play at this time. Was not able to put large files on the NVME drive, somewhere around the 4.2gb range and larger. So basically had to put 21Gb of files on my internal drive cause the NVME formatted as removable wouldn't work, it had no problem when I formatted NVME as internal. Right now I am setup as NVME formatted as removable and living with the fact that 21 Gb of files is on the internal drive instead of my NVME drive. This is very time consuming but thank got folder sync app works well.

First, yes I use the power supply that came with the P6, never owned a buzz tv before. I have tried those settings for the sound but still acts the same way. Really weird but again I just use bluetooth and works fine. As for my storage be used as internal storage, I guess just cause I have always done this in the past with my other android box and figured this wasn't a drive that I would just take out and use in any other device I have to begin with. Now I am wondering if this is what may be causing some of my issues to begin with. I will have to switch it over and try it out that way.

So couple/few issues I am encountering on my P6. So sometimes my P6 ha6d the red light on but it is actually on and works like normal with a green light. (First picture) Second issue is P6 keeps disconnecting (forgets) my m.2 NVME external drive that I have formatted as internal. I have to reboot the P6 in order for it to be recognized and usable again. This happens almost daily after waking up the shield. (2nd and 3rd picture) Third issue is some apps not playing sound on my Vizio sound bar using HDMI cable. Paramount+ was one of the apps. It would actually play sound on the preview but if I go watch a show, any show no sound. Since they fixed the Bluetooth I just use my Vizio sound bar with Bluetooth and works with no issue. The external drive issue listed above is by far the worse of the 3 issues I have at the moment.

Found my fix: okay my button mapper app would not work to accomplish what I wanted. So had some time to look into this further and found this app called tvquickactions pro (in play store) and it is also a button mapper but has a feature tab that has a recent app feature that does work exactly like I wanted. Bonus this app has an lock app built in that works awesome. I won't have to go searching for that now. Has some other features too that I will explore later on.

So this is weird. When I use Paramount+ and a preview plays I have sound and works great. However, When I click on any show, I get picture with no sound at all going through my sound bar and HDMI. Now if I hook up Bluetooth speakers they work fine with sound. The weird part is of I shut off the Bluetooth speakers my sound bar will now play sound as long as I don't close the app. If I close the app I have to redo the whole process. This is only for Paramount+ app all my other apps seam to work the way they should

I started thinking that way too but now thinking I might be able to use button mapper, it has that as an option, I don't know why I didn't think of trying that before. I will have to try it out later when I get home.

My initial post was for a buzztv, P6. You said it wasn't available on any box. I pointed out that it is available on another box. Do you mean it isn't available on any BuzzTv boxes? If so, not a major issue, just nice to have that's all

On Nvidia shield if you double click the home button it would bring up recent apps screen. However it didn't have a close all option, you had to close each individually. I do like the P6 where it closes all apps but was handy to be able to go to recent apps to switch back to an app that was just using

Is there a button on the bt-500 remote that will bring up recent apps screen, I am pretty sure I tried every button to no avail. I don't know if this isn't available with this remote and P6 or if I am missing something. I know if I double click home it closes all recent apps.

Support knows about bug for Bluetooth speaker and says will be fixed shortly in an upcoming OTA

II can't seam to get Bluetooth to work with audio on my P6. It connects and pairs but sound still goes through the TV and not the Bluetooth speakers. Tried a lot of settings to no avail. It should basically work automatically once connected and paired.
