    Yep, apparently that was the issue. I tried multiple different movie and IPTV streams that I assumed were outputting 5.1 but was mistaken. I finally found an actual surround sound source and the X5 passed it with no problem. Thank you for the reply!

    Just received my new X5 64AX-C but can only get stereo audio out of it. I've connected it to my new Denon receiver with both HDMI and digital optical cables but no matter the program source, I only get stereo audio. Is the X5 capable of outputting 5.1 or better sound? Thanks.
