Actually in my case, using the bt400 volume in live TV mode, it adjusts both the buzz box volume and at the same time changes the TV volume. After a while, while changing the volume, the TV volume becomes too loud (gets out of sync) and I need to lower it manually using the TV remote.
Interestingly when I use the vod and use an external player, like MX player or VLC, the buzz remote adjusts only the buzz box and leaves the TV volume alone.

Will the IR200 remote also work to control the TV volume as well as my buzz xr4500?

Have you tried your tvs screen saver reel?
My Samsung TV kicks in screen saver after 2 hours, so not very useful

when do have screen saver set to start?
Sorry, I have it set to 5 minutes.

Yes, but since Buzz software calls the external player, it could mark that movie or TV series as being watched.

So there's no chance this might be changed in a future release?

I am using a xrs4500 box and the screen saver kicks in when I'm on the home screen but never activates when I'm watching live TV or vod.
I often need to pause live TV or a movie, sometimes for a long time while I handle a phone call but the screen stays active while paused.
Any thoughts on this?

I am using a xrs4500 box and when I set my video on demand to use external player (mx player) the movie is not marked as played after I watch it.
This is a problem for TV series as I need to remember which episodes I have already seen.
Any idea why this doesn't work.

Ok, thanks

When I use my bt-400 remote it adjusts the volume on both the buzz TV box xrs4500 and the TV itself, which makes volume adjustments difficult as both volumes are adjusted together.
There is a setting for sound on the buzz box which sets the volume to max but then the volume control doesn't do anything on the TV.
Is there a setting to stop the buzz box from adjusting its volume while allowing the TV volume to be adjusted by the bt-400 remote.
My TV is a Samsung which has the hdm arc going to a sound bar.

Good to know, thanks

Thanks for the info

What is the difference between these 2 settings and when should they be used?
Under Screen saver you can set a suspend after x hours.
Under config settings then app settings you can do an auto shut off the buzz app after x hours.

I also have this issue on a xrs4500 running the latest version. The audio seems ok even during the video pause

Thanks for the information

Is there any way for the box to suspend after the recording finishes?
Will it continue to stream after the recording finishes?

I have a xrs4500 ver 5.0.793 which stops recording the current tv live show when I hit the power button which suspends the box. Actually it records for about 12 seconds.
Am I missing some settings?

BTW, my box is a xrs4500 with at bt-400 remote

I had this problem too and I cleared cache on the Bluetooth app and problem went away.

The problem is that the box looses wifi completely, not only to the internet. Turning wifi off then on shows no wifi addresses.
Is there a way to issue a trouble ticket on this issue and possibly see if anyone else is experiencing this issue, like in the GitHub website?
-
Actually I'm on very 5.0.793 already
-
Yes, I'm on os9 and I see there is an update ver 5.0.793 but only for beta users?

I have a xrs4500 box running build v 20221115 and IPTV ver 5.0.790 with the same problem of losing my wifi internet connection after a suspend. Turn wifi on/ and off shows no wifi at all. I don't have any hotspot option mentioned above. Only solution is to reboot the box.
Can remote control tv volume only

I don't have that setting available on my xrs4500 box. There is one on "settings/Advanced settings/HDMI CEC" but no volume control option.
I'm on firmware v20221115 and IPTV version 5.0.935
I wish that there was an option to set an external player in live TV mode, as volume control works perfectly in vod using an external player.
