Thanks for all of the information. My BT400 doesn't pair with my tv so I am now using the BT400, tv remote and sound bar remote. Not ideal. Someone had posted that they were using their .onn remote. I was trying to locate it to ask them directly how they did it but was unable to find the post. The experience I've had with the BT400 combined with the large number of complaints on forums and reviews does make me eager to purchase another one. I'm also not anxious to spend more money if I don't have to. I don't require a lot of bells and whistles with a device. The simple, basic features working is all I need. Thanks again.

For those who are using a remote other than a BuzzTV remote [such as the .onn remote], how did you pair it? I'm at my wits end with this one and want to see if one I have on hand will fill in until I can get another one.

Apparently, it's not comedy central either.

The remote either requires multiple presses to get a response or it is super sensitive. When typing in search topics, it frequently enters multiples of the same letter/number. Then when I go back and delete the duplicate, it removes both letters/numbers. It just took me over 15 minutes to enter an m3u url because of this. Sometimes it goes up or down a menu at lightning speed but the button itself is not in a stuck position. After opening a menu box on an app, I've found that the only way to accomplish what I'm trying to do is to press the very, very bottom of the OK button. Pressing it in the center either gets no response or a response I'm not trying to get. The battery level is 99%. The remote has never been dropped, sat on or had anything spilled on it. It is intact and in pristine condition. It did this straight out of the box and has gotten worse.
  7. There are no other devices near it, in the same room or even in adjoining rooms. I disable wifi on the device on occasion to refresh the connection. The problem is that the box also turns off wifi on its own. While watching a program, I will lose connection then find that wifi has been turned off. It was turned on when I started watching. Cover is intact. It has never been sat on, rolled over on, dropped, had anything spilled on it.
  8. Remote has already been factory reset once, maybe twice.
  9. Some of these issues started right out of the box, they've just gotten worse and new ones have developed. I had some challenges with setup and tech support talked me through them. Even with them helping, setup took forever. I commented then that the remote was hinkey.
  10. Thank you. I unpaired and re-paired it. Issues persist.
  11. Power option is already set to shutdown Yes, batteries have been replaced. Remote has never been dropped, never fallen or been handled with wet hands. Nothing has ever been spilled on it. It is intact.
  12. I am also now constantly having to power cycle my X5 and/or turn wifi off/on. I have rebooted my router multiple times. I'm not having issues with any other mobile device using wifi. Another problem is the remote. It either requires multiple presses to get a response or it is super sensitive. When typing in search topics and pressing the OK button, it frequently enters multiples of the same letter. Sometimes it seems to get stuck and goes up or down a menu at lightning speed. After opening a menu box on an app, I've found that the only way to accomplish what I'm trying to do is to press the very bottom of the OK button. Pressing it in the center either gets no response or a response I'm not trying to get.
  13. Update showed Preparing system update... for over an hour. I exited and started over twice, letting it run 45 minutes the first try and 25 minutes the second. On the third attempt, it finally successfully downloaded and installed after about 10 minutes. Internet connection and speed are good.
  14. Does the HD5 not support .der root files? I have tried to download one several times from sites. Each time, the file is converted to a .crt file. I uploaded a .der root file from another device, emailed it to myself and downloaded it. Only then did it show as a .der root file. However, when I attempt to import it, I get this error message: Value 0[diamond] of type java.lang.String cannot be converted to JSONObject. I had no problems downloading or importing it on the X5. Thank you.
