  1. Only reason I even remembered and mentioned that is because I was cursing last week myself on why it was not working on my classic, and I then realized I had my VPN set to auto connect on boot And as soon as I disconnected, all worked as expected.

Sure, and posting the same thing in another thread with all the same audience is going to help. email: cs@buzztv.com Maybe you have a defective unit.
  3. Size ? If you are not going to be doing piles of recordings or downloads, even a small 256GB should be super plenty.

You already posted about your remote in the other thread. Why waste resources in 2 different threads ?
  5. Maybe time to backup your servers/favorites and then try a factory reset on the box. WiFi turning off is not normal. WiFi disconnections can happen depending on location of box vs router, and closer box is to a wall, there are more reflections which can cause strange WiFi behaviours. Wired is always the best if you can. If you are using WiFi, I strongly recommend setting your Powerkey definition to shutdown, and not standby (Don't recall if that is available on the SS). Shutdown will force the box to properly shutdown and every time you power it up, sure it take an extra 20 seconds to boot, but you will at least have a clean boot every time and won't need to mess with turning wifi on/off manually. Makes no sense having to do that.
  6. From the server screen, on the top right under the Server ID, you will see an IP URL.. Ex: http://192.168.1.14:8090 While on the server screen, you go to your PC (or phone), open up that url in a web browser and you should see the option to create your servers. NOTE: Make sure you disconnect from any VPN before doing this, because if your VPN is not configured to allow local LAN access you will not be able to connect to the U5. Easier to just disconnect quickly.
  7. I'm assuming you don't have any MicroSD card installed in the box either (easy to forget it's there since it is nicely hidden) ?
  8. The updates server has surely been decommisioned a while back. This is a pretty old box. You revived a nearly 5 year old thread To get to the latest software for the xpl3000, download the following apk, put it on a USB stick and then use the file manager on the device to install it. https://mega.nz/file/CQNEybab#rF2YQmvphIB_5j7KTjdKnGYcvNw4_8yHzrASAXqAbLs Credits to nbs, for posting it on another forum a while back (so I don't need to reupload it anywhere) :) However, if it still does not behave the way you expect/want it, don't expect an updates. This box has been out of support for quite a while now, and it runs BuzzTV 2.
  9. The problem stems from the fact that you are using an old E1 which is limited to BuzzTV 4. On BuzzTV 5 and now BuzzTV 6, you have the option to not only move your channels around, but there is an option for "Group Channel Numbering". This allows you to not only change the order of the channels in the groups, but also to auto renumber them from 1 onwards, in each group. So each group (including your Favorites groups [yes Groups, since on BuzzTV 5 you can have multiple Favorites groups]) starts at CH 1 and goes up. So you move your channels around and they get renumbered automatically depending on the order you placed them in. The Channel number is NOT forced by most providers. They just provide a list of channels and typically it is up the software you use to number the channels. There are a FEW which may FORCE the numbering, but it is very rare. There are also some ridiculous services that also hardcode a channel number in the NAME of the channel, which is really dumb. This is one of the main reasons that when you are on support forums of different services, when reporting issues, providing a channel number alone is completely useless. Provide the actual name of the channel as you see it in your channel list. Different boxes, software and even different versions of the same software can easily have different numbering depending on how they process the channel list.
  10. That is BuzzTV When you can explain and they can replicate the problem, they make sure to fix it. I've had fixes for some problems sent out the same day. Thanks Buzz.
  11. Now you know the answer to your other question, on WHY there is BuzzTV 5 and 6 on the Powerstation
  12. Another thing you can try is to go Settings->Apps->Special app access->Energy optimization Scroll down to "Google Play Store" and turn off the Energy optimization for the Play store.
  13. If you go into settings, and then apps, find and select the play store and try to "uninstall updates", does it work any better ?
  14. Did you buy an IPTV subscription ? The Box does NOT include an IPTV subscription. The box only includes the software needed to watch IPTV, you still need to get a subscrption. If you already have an account/service, did you verify with your reseller that the account has not expired ? IF the box was already configured with an account, go to the servers screen, and then select the MAC, XC API and M3U tab until you see one with an entry in it, and go down and select it. And while you are there, does the entry show an expiry date ?
  15. First of all, this is the xrs4900 forum, not the E5. Secondly, this is a Bell issue. All these companies (including netflix, hulu, disney, etc..) want boxes to be certified, in order to allow them and properly work with their crappy apps (for DRM purposes). Sometimes there are workarounds to be able to trick these apps to sort of work with limitations, but other times there isn't. BuzzTV boxes are designed primarily as IPTV boxes, hence the BuzzTV app that is preinstalled on these boxes. For 3rd party apps, some will work, and some will not, and there is no guarantee or statement saying that anything else will work. I personally don't care for many 3rd party apps since IPTV services provide me all the media consumption that I need. However most of my buddies that use BuzzTV boxes for IPTV, often also have a cheap firestick or google streamer for all those other apps that insist on having "certified" devices to run on. You can try using AptoideTV store (which is preinstalled on buzztv boxes), and you can install different app versions if you want to check and see if there is any other version that works. Otherwise you can try to find different versions at various apk mirror sites and sideload them to see if one works as you would expect it. Good luck with that.
