Thx for the replies. I ordered one.

I’m interested in replacing the factory remote with the IR-100L. The page for that remote doesn’t indicate that it works with my X5-128….does anyone know if it’s compatible? TIA

That accomplished nothing. I cleared the cache, power cycled and get the same result. Fwiw, the last update couldn’t be done ota either. -

I have cycled power on all items, no change. By clearing cache, you of course mean disconnect/reconnect power. Yep, like 5x. -

Ok, so the only thing that changed was the “Preparing…” changed to “Finishing…” after about 10 mins. Still hangs on that. Speed check shows 50+ mbps -

Well, I disconnected the vpn and tried again. It says “Preparing….” for about 30 secs, then says “Finishing…” for 20+ mins still. I’ve removed power for 30 secs and tried again with same result. -

I tried to install the update yesterday but it hung up indicating “Finishing system update…”. I restarted the box with no issues. Today I tried again to install the update and it’s hung up at the same spot after waiting over 30mins. X5 128AI Current fw: 20221011 -
Terry, I don't use catchup, I use an app that has everything I want to watch, minus the commercials obv. I've also never tried recording, for much the same reason. As for TVM, I only use it on Sundays. I love being able to quickly jump to another game when one goes to commercial. As for the update, it's only my X5 that doesn't perform when using the multi-view.

Yes, it’s the same version on every device.

With my service I can have up to 5 active connections at once. I installed Tivimate to explore watching multiple games in smaller windows. On my X5, with WiFi or Ethernet, I can only load 2 channels at once. If I add a 3rd, both the 2d & 3d channels start blinking in and out, while only the original channel is stable. I’ve configured other various devices (running strictly WiFi) and can load 4 channels at once with no issues. I just saw there’s a new update but I haven’t loaded it yet.

My apologies, I thought I’d clicked on the X5 model. If a mod would please relocate it? But, in response to your suggestion: I can’t differentiate between 2.4/5 bands on my network without making network-wide changes, I.e., disable one band or the other. I would assume that the unit connects to the best channel it sees on the network. Thus it wouldn’t, at least in my mind, make any difference if it was 2.4 or 5. Either way, the unit fails to connect to my network immediately as it should. This leads me to believe a probable(?) issue with the WiFi section of the unit.

I’ve had my U5 for several months and really like it better than my other ‘devices’. However, for some time now, easily 4-5 months, it seems that my unit randomly loses the WiFi connection. I turn off the WiFi (in settings, not my home network), and turn it back on. Rarely will it automatically reconnect to my network until I’ve done this 5+ times. A day or 2 later this process has to be repeated. I’ve tried rebooting the unit, removing/connecting power, etc. Nothing fixes this issue. A week ago I decided to connect to my network via ethernet over power line configuration. This obv negates any WiFi issue, and while it does slightly reduce my connection speed, the unit is functioning as designed. So, my question is this: is there any way to troubleshoot the WiFi connection via diagnostics or something? Nothing else in my home has any problem with a WiFi connection, btw.

Well, glad it’s not just mine that’s locked up. -
Well, somehow, at some point the buttons decided to operate as designed. IDK

After programming the button(s), it says “try it” on the same screen…they work there, but not if I’m at the Home Screen.

Got my X5128 a few days ago and getting used to it. I’ve “set” the 4 colored buttons on the remote to various apps, but when pressed, the assigned app d/n startup. Ideas? TIA
