  1. Sorry, I should have asked, is there a possibility that the BT400 app will be incorporated in the next (or Alfa) firmware release for the 4500 series?

  2. Thanks allaboutbuzz, recording works perfectly on both boxes. Just to add some information, I did some experimenting and found something that's worth sharing. If you set up a recording and go to the Home Screen, no pip,  once the recording begins you can go back to live TV and it won't interrupt the recording if you change the channel. Last night I actually set up two manual recordings with overlapping times, changed to a third  channel, then went to Home Screen no pip. Once both recordings started I went back to live tv on that same channel. Now I'm watching channel C, while recording channels A and B. So far, I've done this twice and it was successful.

  3. I'm aware of that.  So, going back to my first paragraph, what is causing the power pad to pop up, (and the other recording issues) when recording on the 4500 MAX. They do not happen on the 4500.

  4. Not sure if this helps, but I used to have these problems on the 4500, but somehow they disappeared. Connection is with the original IPTV service. MAX is on a different provider. Version is actually .727.

  5. Hi.I know this has come up before, but I'm really having trouble with recording on the 4500MAX. First, the power / restart / screenshot pad appears whenever I do any recording (EPG or Manual, in LiveTV or Home Screen). In Home Screen mode, all recordings will fail if PIP is off. In Home Screen mode the channel will not change to the pre-set recording channel even with PIP on, and recording fails.

What's interesting is that I have two boxes (4500 and 4500MAX), both set up exactly the same; same settings, both have device health services disabled, both running BuzzTV .725. None of these issues appear on the 4500. Recording works perfectly. I can actually start a recording from home screen, no PIP, then go to Live TV and change channels without the current recording stopping.  The only difference between these boxes is that they are on different IPTV servers. Can anyone offer any suggestions why the Max won't work and the 4500 does? It's driving me nuts!

  6. That's not the issue I'm having. My power definition is set to suspend so that I don't wait the 15 - 20 seconds for the TV to come up. The remote will put both the TV and the box in suspend, problem is when I push the power button it also acts as a default change to channel 8! As it stands now, without start LiveTV from suspend it's either a multi-step process (power resume, push OK, change from channel 8), or the longer wait to watch TV (power on, boot to LiveTV). Sadly I'm finding a few more bugs than I would have expected from a new product (see my post on hiding locked channels).

  7. The box goes into standby, and the TV shuts off. As the X 5 won't start in live TV yet the box starts in the Home Screen. When I hit LiveTV I'm on channel 8. I change the channel to 24, and when I hit power off, 8 appears in the upper left corner and everything shuts off. Turn on, hit LiveTV and I'm back on channel 8 again. However, if I go from LiveTV to the Home Screen before shutting down nothing appears in the upper left. Turn on, hit LiveTV and I'm on the channel I was watching.

  8. I paired my remote with my LG TV, turned on CEC, use auto TV set up. Everything works, except when I push the power key on the remote channel 8 appears in the upper left corner before entering standby. It doesn't matter what channel I'm on when I press the power key, it always goes back to channel 8 every time I shut down.

  9. Thanks for your reply NBS. It's a great feature to have, but not a necessity.

On another subject, you asked me what software version I was using on my strange recording quirk question (5.0.714). Is there any news on that?
