Well, here is the thing I actually finally received an update 5.0.762 without providing my mac address and this was a serious concern too you all. So, I am not sure how I received it now without providing my MAC but it should be rolled out to all users as I know others who have not received the update. .

Here is my dilemma? Why, release a product if there will be no updates and only beta releases? It makes absolutely no sense as I cannot receive an update without providing my mac address unsecurely through this forum or directly to you. Thanks.

I know because I read the issues in the forum. Please have the new update available for download?

Bro, every update that resolves an issue on the unit should be available to the customers/users.

Could someone please send me firmware 5.0.759? About 80% of their customers do not have the latest update because they wont release a public update as they are focused only on beta releases and their beta team. Why release new buzz units if your existing boxes are not updated with firmware that resolves 90% of the issues for your customers.

Yeah, it is so WOW that they are not releasig updates to users unless your part of their beta team. They are releasing new units leaving their existing units outdated and buggy. Go BUZZ TV.

Is your XRS 4900 is an open area and elevated off of a flat surface? If not, I purchased a 4'x4' usb fan that plugs into my unit. Check Amazon.

Hmm, have you checked and ensured that the router is plugged in? Have you made and router modifications? Are you broadcasting your ssid?

Well, I am not providing any of my personal internet addresses on a public forum except for an email address. However, I can tell you that the provider can have access to your receiver as they load content onto it. Another thing, Google also has access to your box. Plus, we all know the internet is worldwide and anything you put onto the world wide web is available.

Somone provided 5.0.653 and the update worked there are quite some issues as most of you are on 5.0.759. Could someone provide me via PM with 5.0.759?

I have been waiting like others for over a year and I have not been provided an update.

I should not be required to provide anything. It should be provided to me ota or a manual download. Could someone please provide me 5.0.759?

At this point I would stay away from Buzz TV. Why? Because, they are not providing new updates to any of their boxes. It appears only selected people are receiving updates as they are providing their mac address on the web unsecurely to buzz staff on this forum. BUZZ TV needs an overhaul to their process to ensure all theur customers or users are receiving all firmware/software updates.
