  1. Okay thanks. In that case, I held the reset pin with a toothpick, plugged in power, and held it for at least 30 seconds… nothing happened.
  2. Dishuser, There was no recovery screen. Wouldn’t get that far. Nothing to the TV. Update, even though the boxes did power and flash, I went out and got another power supply, and it worked. Both booted back up. So I guess both power supplies went bad at the same time? Powered it, but obviously wrong voltage or something. Defective. Still very odd, but happy it is resolved. Sorry for posting prematurely. Admin Feel free to delete.
  3. User an issue right now, but with Two E2 Max boxes. Both boxes were purchased together (from Buzz), by me, for a two family members (one box used at each residence) about 15 months ago. Both stopped working two days apart with the same issue. Problem… red/blue intermittent flashing, both will not boot up. Hard reset didn’t work on either box. Power supply is 5v 2a, and working. Any ideas guys? I mean, what are the chances of two boxes, bought together. Going down with the same problem, 2 days apart, at two different residences? 15 months later? Astronomical!
  4. You wanted an update, here it is. I deleted the problem server and reinstalled… same problems came back immediately. I then went into Buzz TV app settings, and cleared all data, effectively removing servers. I then reinstalled the server that was giving me the problem. Everything went fine, and after setup, I used the server for a good 12 hours. No password requests.. worked perfectly. Today, I installed the second server. That went well too, and after I set it up, I watched a VOD show, and opened several others… everything worked fine…as expected. I then returned to the first server, to check on it, selected a VOD show, picked the episode, and as soon as I clicked it, up popped the password request again, and it was running perfectly. Dam! lol So, to me, it seems like a glitch when running multiple servers. Doesn’t matter which order they’re installed, the problem arises, (but only in the one server) and each server works perfectly when installed alone. I’ll leave that to you guys to sort out. haha!
  5. “Some servers have started adding passwords to certain VOD Due to adult content, or mature content If the server requires it, we support it So you can't disable it.” I don’t believe this is the case here. After checking it out again, based on this statement, I found that it does not restrict any movie, but still asked for password on simple kids TV show. Also, the same server is running, without issue, on other units in my home. Going to factory reset, and see where it goes. lol Thanks for the help Allaboutbuzz
  6. Wow! That really sucks! lol. These are just regular shows… not explicit content.
  7. Have a similar issue, but with VOD. Every time I go to watch any episode, it asks for password to unlock? Last night I added a second server, and this is where it is happening. I have the same server on other boxes, with no issue. So this morning I removed both servers, then added them back. Both were working as expected. About an hour later, I was adding favorites, then this issue reappeared. Now asking for password on every episode again. Parental control will only let me change password… nothing else. Cannot disable password. I have checked every setting I can see. Any thoughts?
  8. My intent was never to bash the box. In fact, I like this box, and most other buzz boxes. definitely my go to. Just wasn’t a fan of the remote. Anyway, I confirmed (after checking the white light, that I cannot see, because it’s on the back of the wall mounted TV) that the box does in fact go into standby, when the tv is turned off. (using the tv remote) I don’t think right away, which is likely why i didn’t notice it. Also, you are correct. That white button did stop the video, and returned to live tv. Thx for that.
  9. I am aware of what the coloured buttons do., and that they can be programmed… I obviously did did this, if they were programmed for livetv and vod. I did say that they work, but only from the Home Screen. Once you are away from home page, they take on a different task. My point was… if I am watching vod, you can’t just switch back to live tv, with a single touch. You access via the home page, or menu, or back arrow 5 times. A physical button on previous remotes, addressed that. Why remove it? The missing physical stop button prevents you from stopping a video in Kodi, for one! And on VOD, it’s back, then down, then okay to stop it.. Again, more additional moves. To do it on screen. Or can you return to LTV or VOD without going through Home Screen etc… And if there is a live tv button(not icon) on this remote… please, do tell. The “suspend” function I will look into again when I have time. But from what I’ve seen so far, turning off the tv just leaves the box turned on. I did see the I one thread about this, but I’ll verify if it works or not at home. And not much point having tv functionality, if you can’t use it. When programmed for the tv , it shuts both off. They don’t work independently, unless you hook up a different remote… they do. I know these are minor issues, just annoying. Simply stating my findings and opinion. And I don’t state anything I have learned and tried first. However, yes, sometimes there just something you didn’t see or were aware off… that’s what these forums are for. PS… dishuser… happy to see Covid didn’t affect your sparkling personality.
  10. I don’t like the remote either. I just got one last week, included with an HD5. Simple function buttons like LIVE TV, VOD, and a STOP button missing. Takes away the ability to quickly switch between them… you have to use the menu scroll, press instead. With no stop, you have to repeatedly use the back button to exit out. Poor contrast between the symbols and black background. You shouldn’t have to “get used to it” it should be clear(er) Then there’s the programable colour buttons… these work for livetv or vod, but only if you’re on the home page. They have also taken away the ability to power up/down the TV and Buzz unit separately. Only one power button…. Standby mode gone too. (Box related) Much slower powering up. Now once I connect my ARQ or BT100 remote, all these functions come back(except standby mode) I don’t mind the feel and look of it, but removing functionality for it… NO! After one day use, the BT remote went directly into my spare parts drawer!
