The Default Player is used to do recordings
So if you have it set to Secondary Player and have a recording set
It will automatically switch to Default to do that recording and then switch back to Secondary afterwards
It is all automatic.
I just did a recording.....it shows under recordings in the pvr menu....I click on it to play and there’s nothing there.
I also used the vlc app....it also detects nothing
i didn’t nothing different but somehow I’m back at square one....
nothing but issues with this box

You have one more step you can try and that's a pin reset
I have no clue what a pin reset is

I am experiencing the exact same audio delay issue when playing back recordings within the Buzztv app. Interestingly, there is one channel that I came across where the recording audio is fine. Any other channel I test with has delay. Now, if I watch the recording using VLC the audio for ALL my recordings is perfectly in sync. This leads me to suspect the issue is with BuzzTV’s built in playback feature.
I will try that with my next recording....thx

I would consider doing a factory set
I did the factory reset.....
preset a recording to record one hour as I went to bed....
made sure the player was set to default
woke up....it did the recording....no audio delays in the first 7 mins then it got progressively worse that by the time the recording stopped the audio delay was about 30 seconds
and btw.......the player bounced back to secondary (for recording)....live tv was still on default
im giving up on the pvr feature....I’m stuck with a dud

never used or changed the buffer since i got the 4500
Also forgot to mention......when I was watching the recorded show......for some reason it bounced to secondary from default. As I said.....I even checked a few times and made sure it was on default

So I preset the recording for another show....and I made sure by double checking a few times it was set to default. The recording worked but the audio is still delayed. ......I don’t get it

Ok......I’ll let you know later how my next recording turns out

you hit ok and check the one you want
Ok...switched to default.....I will record a show soon but I won’t be watching it as it’s recording....so I’ll see if it works and hopefully no audio delay
buffer time was set at 3 seconds....will this affect the audio delay?

no, just make sure you are on default
I have scheduled while recording from guide and manual scheduling many times no issues
From menu ....when I select default and the click back.....it automatically goes back to secondary

I just did two recordings one on default and one on secondary player
the default is fine
the secondary player is out of sync
I tried recording a one hour show as I was watching it. Once it was over I went into pvr and it was listed under recordings and it WORKED when I selected it but there is an audio delay of about two seconds and the recording was done on SECONDARY
I will try another show later on DEFAULT and see what happens....
but I hate to think I need to record as I watch it live....

There are media players under menu configuration player
Are you doing scheduled recording or recording from guide?
Sorry if this sounds ridiculous......Besides the App Store for media players...where do I find the menu configuration player

You are leaving the buzz unit on?
Did you find where the media players were?
Yes I leave it on.....
I was able to find media players on the App Store but I was told when I playback the recording on any media player it won’t work if the box doesn’t record.
as I mentioned earlier....it shows it recorded but when I playback there is nothing....I also tried to playback on my computer (I used an external hard drive to store) and it also tells me there is nothing

Or if you take the Hard Drive and connect to a computer and try to play it from there, do you get the same issue?
I take the external hard drive and when I plug into my computer there’s nothing there but according to my BuzzTV it says it recording....it’s listed under my recordings when completed but when I play it nothing is there

What type of recording are you doing and what player are you using?
I’m recording a show using the BuzzTV xrs4500. I’m a newbie at this...don’t know what you mean by PLAYER.
-
I have the xrs4500....I’ve been told by BuzzTV technician to record a program .....to download to an external hard drive (when I record directly to the box it does not work).
when I playback the recording from the external hard drive ....there is an audio delay by about 7 seconds. Very frustrating....
how can I fix this delay?
thank you

No......I use an external hard drive with albums of family photos and videos and I don’t want to risk losing or corrupting them
