thanks for you help with this, I wasn't aware the buzz remotes were universal, everything worked out perfectly and box is fully functional.

batteries are installed in the usb remote, about to look for my xpl3000 to see if i can get a hold of that remote.

everything has been setup, just having an issue with box booting up, keeps looping on startup screen then freezes. i was forwarded by mygica support to this forum.

if i can find that box i'll give it a try..although i'm not sure if the xpl3900 has a built in  receiver for the signal of the remote, and wouldn't I then need to program the remote?

yes with the xpl3900, the arq100 air mouse. I might have an xpl3000 somewhere lying around, would i be able to use that mouse somehow?

unfortunately form me the box only came with a usb remote. just wondering what other remote could be used to get this done?

1. Download the file onto a computer
Then transfer it onto a USB drive or SD card
Then insert into box

2. Use reset button inside AV hole on the back of your 3900 to get into recovery mode on first time boot. 

You will need to use a Tooth Pick or Paper Clip or something similar to do this.

3. 
Once in recovery
Go to 
Apply update from ext

Select Udisk which is USBDrive or SD Card depending on which one you have the Firmware on

4.Highlight the Firmware
Press Ok to install it

It will take up to 8 mins to install

5. Once finished 
Select reboot

6. It will boot back into Android and everything is normal and nothing is erased

hello i'm able to get into recovery mode but for some reason i cannot toggle up or down on my usb remote. how did you guys navigate through this part to select "apply update from EXT"?
