Still having issues with guides. Both types have issues. some channel info, other none. So you can't select a show time slot only go up and down in the channels.
-
I managed to get one of my servers to load. The XC server shows the proper guide. But the MAC server nope. Go figure.
-
I had the same issue with both servers. One is Mac and one is XC. I tried your suggestions no luck. That one app with one server I can see the guide. So it seems to be in buzz tv part. Both servers have the same issue. I go to guide, no information. It kicks me to the server connect info box and both are showing. Connected. Viscious loop.

Last couple of nights I haven't been able to see the TV guide. When I hit guide on the buzz remote it kicks me to my server settings. I select the server and it shows it refreshing etc then goes to the guide, but no info. can't see any shows ahead or behind? Doesnt matter which server I use. same issue. I use the 3 line button on the remote to refresh and nothing changes. Goes back to single channel.
Thoughts?

I'm on a Mac, lol. can't do firmware update unfortunately. I would hope it is current since they just sent it to me from the States. lol.

So Western Digital replaced the NVME under warranty! Yeah! Do you recommend formatting it on my computer first or put it in the power station and format it that way?

Hard Factory reset of P6
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bnzmXNyXcgMaybe the NVMe is just corrupt. May need to be completely reformatted. I have an USB NVMe adapter and I typically format my drives on my PC before installing them on media players.
I have this one:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09XWLGD48But there are many cheaper ones available, like this one, which is under CAD$20.
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CSVT8KF1Just curious, was in possibly formatted as internal "device storage" instead of "Portable storage" ? Formatting as internal device storage can be a real pain in the b$tt. Android should do away with that concept in 2026. If it is formatted as internal device storage and then it gets corrupted somehow, it will corrupt the whole device. As "Portable Storage" it runs independently of the internal storage.
no It was WD NVME... I'll try the reader and see if I can reformat it. thank you!

So I managed to do the factory reset and recording works to the internal storage. But it does look like my name is fried!!!
Firmare : P6L 256

when I go into device preferences, it shows internal storage of 242GB. if I go to updates, the whole screen blacks out and goes back to the home screen. when I put in the NVME it doesnt see it under device prefs. Did the box fry the NVME? since the box is acting weird??
how do I reset the box?
-
yes, I have taken it out and rebooted it. Nothing different with it in or out.

Everytime I try to go onto settings/updates etc. the whole screen goes blue and kicks out to the default Home Screen. Can't tell. I do recall doing an update in the last week or so.
-
I tried to do a recording last night on BuzzTv Powerstation 6 Unlimited and it kept failing. It couldn't see the internal storage or my WD NVME 2TB. I tried rebooting, I tried unseating the NVME no luck. The TV menu was also acting slow to go sideways. Any thoughts?

I am away from home right now, but there is typically an option in the settings, which is essentially "Force MAX Volume". Find it in the settings, or buzz utilities and disable it. Then the box will output variable volume and allow to be controlled by the remote.
ok thank you. I will check it out!

I keeping having an issue, where I have to crank up volume (using a buzz remote) to hear, but then when I switch to other devices my audio is now blasting for those?? I'm assuming there is volume output for the box. Thank you in advance for your help!

That's a possible sign of an nvme drive that is failing.
Recently happened to another user. Infant mortality on these drives is not uncommon even on the name brands. https://stbtalk.com/topic/14665-no-response-when-selecting-updates/#findComment-39821
BTW: Samsung 990 Pro is overkill for a media box.
How big if i have time shift turned on?

@ryu for the current issues XC api. My plan is to replace it with the Buzz Tv Powerstation 6 -8 gig ram, hopefully this month. Thank you @emporium !

I have both a micro SD card formatted through the buzz utilities and I also have a Kinston USB stick. I have tried setting both as the default. But some of my recordings get cut off, or only the fist 30 secs... just curious if anyone else has seen this issue?

Hi everyone. Where would I see a difference between this box and the base b5 box? Would I see an improvement in speed/stability in the TV guide? Would I see a difference between in the VOD area? On my b5 I have to refresh the lists a lot and there are issues in the saved series. So not sure if it is the box or the service. Any other ways I would see a difference between the boxes?

Which app are you trying to use the keyboard on?
VOD. Turns out I wasn't highlighting the search box before trying to enter the letters. DOH! Customer Service pointed me that goof I was making!

Mouse wasn’t active when trying to use the keyboard.

@dishuser thank you for responding. Yes. I have tried new batteries, repaired the dongle again. I have managed to get the front keys all working but still no hope for the actual keyboard. The four cursor buttons on the keyboard side work, along with the fcn button lighting up when pressed, but makes no difference in being able to enter letters pressed on the keyboard appearing in the search box. Ugh.

Powerstation Won't Record?

Has anyone put thermal paste on their nvme in their power stations? An enclosure I bought for another nvme came with a strip and said to be it on nvme. Since the power station is similar in the sense that no air can really get to it. Just curious thoughts if it would help or not!?
