(I read all the caveats of the effort to add externally mounted storage, but still asking…)
I’ve grown to two U5s now. I’ve moved to usb-networking the backup and restore to keep program guides and preferences syncd.
as a step 1: it would be really nice if all your stbs could share their backup somewhere in the cloud. At least to keep my shows syncd etc.
as a step 2: more ambitious would be accessing and storing or backing up to a nas for external access.
maybe I just haven’t spent enough time in android and there is a way to do this that isn’t perfect but would work using off the shelf apps?
