PVR and Recordings

Recommended Posts

Time setting for the PVR has not worked.  Only partial bits of shows were recorded.  Assume that there must a blue light on the BuzzTV XRS4500 but the tv does not have to remain on while recording.  For small snippets of recorded material that did work the audio playback was a fraction of a second out of sync with the video.  Any solutions out there?

Both of our 2 new purchases are experiencing similar issues with recorded playbacks.  The audio is out of sync with the video by about .25 sec. to .5 sec.  I don't know if the internet speed of about 50 MBS is hindering the quality of recording or not?  Not sure if there may be an update forth coming shortly which may cure the issue?  Too distracting to watch at the moment though.

Again Have you tried both media players?

The audio within the LiveTV function of my BuzzTVxrs4500 synchs fine with the audio.  It is only within the playback function of the PVR that there are issues with synching between the audio and video.  It appears the format for sound is set for AC3 (Dolby Digital) with "System Sounds" turned on and the words "Surround Sound" highlighted in blue.  I am wondering if this is the correct setting for our box?

So "menu, configuration and video player" was set to "default".  The only other option was "Secondary" and when I switched and checked back on my original recorded sample the audio is still with a delay and is out of synch.  This is perhaps because it was recorded in the previous setting.  What I need to do is record another sample in this new  setting to see if it is still out of synch.  I am trying another recording of live tv from about 6:03 pm until about 6:20 pm in the "secondary" setting.

So in the new setting and playback with a new recording under that new "secondary" setting continues to have the audio out of synch with the video by about .25 to .5 of a second.  No change in comparison with the previous sample.  Any other suggestions?
