  1. and if it's happening with two different servers and two different boxes?
  2. Thank you Maestro for your courteous and reasoned reply. None of my favorites are hidden. With regard to your first point, If the server does reset, shouldn't that change most of the settings in the buzz? Yet it does not, why only favorites? I don't lose my favorite websites when I do an update on my computer. I never use a mouse to choose channels. I use the yellow button. I always highlight the header rather than trying to "favorite" a specific season. I find that to be a new headache. With regard to my original post I was just curious as to whether or not others were experiencing a similar issue. You know, I don't have to prove a damn thing to you. User error is not the same as glitches. Want proof? Read the forum, see how many issues there are. You certainly seem to have an abundance of time on your hands considering the number of posts you have to your credit. Alas, some of us actually do more constructive things with our time than trying to be BIG MAN in a little forum.
  3. It may not effect everyone, but then again some of the other issues posted here don't affect me. So the suggestion for everyone is do a reset? In consumer affairs it's well known that 3% of customers complain 97% don't. It's because of this companies can get away with selling products that have issues. If it is a safety issue the governments get involved, if it's not, "Well, sorry, don't know what to tell you." I personally know of at least 50 people who have purchased the Buzz after seeing mine and I have put them on to my re-seller. I always give them the caveat "It's glitchy at times" I also know of 5 who have disconnected the box because it wasn't worth the frustration. I appreciate your advice NBS but unless you are one of the software designers of the Buzz I would prefer to hear from the people who are responsible for FIXING the MANY issues these boxes seem to have. Respectfully
  4. I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say "working fine". Mine works fine! I watched the video and that is what I do EXACTLY! My point is I'll go to bed some night with approx 40 saved channels, get up in the morning and have 15 saved channels. Where did the other ones go? I look them up using search, they appear, they have the star beside them listing them as a favorite but they don't show in the favorites category. I've tried un-favoring them and re-favoring them, doesn't seem to matter. They stay in limbo. Can't blame the server, two different servers same issue. Has to be a Buzz software issue.
  5. Why does the Buzz application keep losing the favorites I've selected from the favorites category? It doesn't matter whether it is the 4500 or the 3000. It doesn't matter what server I'm connected to. I'm connected to more than one , the 3000 is on a different server than the 4500 but the same issue occurs. Very annoying. It's got to be the buzz. software. Funny thing is when I go looking for the lost favorites using search there they are with a star beside them. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
  6. You're right Best Buy was not the best example, so rather than using them as an example lets use this analogy. If I go to a store and I get excellent service I'm likely going back as long as I get that quality of service. My point is this would you buy a car after researching it and seeing the same problems reflected over and over again with the company who sells the car relying on customers to tell other customers how to fix the car? Let's face it the 3000 had problems, many complained about the same problems being experienced, they released a new version and upgrade and still it appears that many of the problems still exist and new ones have appeared. I'm just saying support could be better from Buzz. BTW Dishuser, I'm not certain as to your answers, are you an angry person or are you being tongue in cheek? An emoticon can put some emotion into a reply.
  7. See my post "where are the techies from Buzz"? Seeing as how we are buying this product, getting a manual that is virtually useless, they should at least be replying to these questions and concerns. I've seen businesses fail because of poor customer support. Can you imagine.. you buy something at Best Buy, there is something you can't figure out, you go to the store for answers and they tell you to ask the customers how to figure it out?
  8. Hi! You're right it is not stbbuzz. Apologies to anyone I may have offended. Regards JR
  9. Thanks NBS I'm going to assume that stream Box technology is in it's infancy. Since posting last I've read a lot of the threads on the 3000 and the 4500. Many (not all ) of the issues people ask about I have experienced, I've also noticed that many of the threads get either no or very few replies and it appears that a lot of those replies come from members. How much time would it take for a moderator to simply reply to a posted question? The sites name is "STBBuzz" is it not? In my business, if I get an email with a question? I reply. If I don't have an answer I'll reply with an update on when they could expect an answer. I know this world is different than mine was. I see it even in the way people end their emails. No salutation, no ending, bang take it or not. With respect, JR
  10. Hi I'm assuming you meant the 4500? This I have done. I haven't noticed any change.
  11. Hi I have the 2.0 version on the 3000 . As for info on servers? That I get! Also on my 3000 my daily updates of my favorites shows, 3 more of my favorites have new episodes all listed by date (newest first). On my 4500 the same favorites have updated but I have to search through all my favorites to see which have updated and which have not. I'm looking more for configuration. BTW I appreciate your help Thanks
  12. Hi I have owned 2 different Buzz 3000's One black, the other Gold. Both seem to have different attributes in some ways. The Gold 3000 will show which of my favorites have updated with new episodes. I know it's it probably a programming thing in setup somewhere. My point is that not being a "Techie" and having to rely on my Very limited knowledge about how these things work, a more detailed manual on setup would be wonderful. I'm 71 so I'm not literate when it comes to programming. I'm learning by myself. I have tried Googling for a manual, I get lots of how great the 4500 is, how to plug it in etc. Unfortunately I could use more. Can anyone point me to a manual? Thank You
  13. I've read through a lot of the posts and see an awful lot of unanswered questions and correct me if I'm wrong little if any response from Buzz Tv employees (techies). Am I not reading this right? Here's my question. I just purchased the 4500 series after having numerous issues with a 3000. Superior (4500) in many respects but I've seen manuals for inserting batteries into toys that were more detailed than the Buzz. Further some functionalities I liked with the 3000 seem to have gone by the wayside with the 4500. For example and this is really the question I would like answered is the TV shows I follow and are marked as favorites used to, with the 3000, reappear whenever a new episode did at the top of the favorites list. This does not happen with the 4500. I do not seem to be able to make this happen. Does anyone else know how to resolve this? Gratefully awaiting suggestions Thanks
