  1. As you noticed, I joined the forum... and as you might surmise, didn't find any of the information I was looking for, so I began some threads asking for the information I was looking for... I never said people wouldn't go to YouTube or search Google, what I said is what people don't go to YouTube (specifically) to look for is "user manuals".... obviously, people do search Google for them, but first of all I didn't mention Google, did I...? nor is any user manual available for BuzzTV devices on Google.... yeah, one of the first things I checked. Now, as far as YouTube goes, I have spent a considerable amount of time on YouTube watching videos on the ST4000, (primarly prior to purchase, as well as afterward). However, NONE of the videos on YouTube covers any of the information I detailed above and outlined looking for specific information on... those videos are all primarily reviews, not instructional, troubleshooting, or process videos. If you know of any YouTube videos that cover any of the items I've detailed above and somehow missed, please do let me know (a title and time stamp will suffice, as I have been made aware that live links are not allowed on this forum). Likewise, if you're aware of another forum where I might find any of the information I've detailed above, please let me know, as I have not found any other forum where the members have provided this information... As I have stated elsewhere, and it should be pretty obvious, I am a newbie to IPTV, and had no idea IPTV was something that was not allowed to even be discussed on a forum for devices made to provide IPTV playback. As far as I'm aware IPTV is a paid service, and is not illegal... or is it...? and no, to a newbie, this is not something that is "obvious".... It is also something that has not ever been explained in any of the dozens of articles on IPTV that I've read over the past couple of months. I have never heard of it being an unspeakable subject prior to your mentioning it as such. I'll certainly take it under advisement here in this forum at least, and it certainly has got me curious about what you believe to be so obvious that I am, so far, so unaware of... but I'll certainly do my best to look into it further, if you provide no further information to enlighten me (and anyone else who may be in need of the information). If you care to share any of the sources you seem to be privy to which might provide answers to any of the questions I've asked above, or anything that might be useful to someone trying to get up to speed on the BuzzTV devices, and IPTV, and why it's verboten to even speak about it, feel free to share.... Otherwise, I hope I've helped clarify some things for you that you seem to have misunderstood about what I previously stated, and actions I've already taken in an effort to gain the answers I've been looking for, including on this forum, on YouTube, on Google, contacting BuzzTV Customer Service, and so on....
  2. You may want to have some new videos created and added to your YouTube Channel, as after reviewing the very few, very short, videos that are available I found that none of them address any of the items I had mentioned other than how to do a pin (hard) reset. There are no videos on - - Basic operations (an orientation, essentially) within the ST4000, - Locations or descriptions of various items on the various menus, - How to set up the IPTV (Live TV), or errors that might be encountered and how to resolve them, - Information regarding under what conditions a reset (hard or soft) might be needed, or why one might be preferable or required over the other. or any information on - - Pressing Home button twice in quick succession to close apps running in background - How to close malfunctioning Live TV app (that just keeps showing no picture, with the spinning circle remaining on black screen) - What to do when power button does not work on ARQ-100 remote. - Does pairing BT-100 remote for bluetooth use disable the IR Sensor - After pairing the BT-100 remote is the IR Sensor still needed for anything - Does the ARQ-100 remote require the IR Sensor for operation of the Power Button (according to an email I just received it does, though this isn't documented anywhere, and doesn't seem to work even after the BT-100 is unpaired), - Why the Ethernet Icon on the Home Screen does not light up when an Ethernet connection is made using an Ethernet to USB 3.0 adapter. - Can a TF Card be formatted for internal use with the ST4000, (since it "disappears" when you do). ....or a number of other items I have run into since my ST4000 arrived a week ago that I've run into and have had to try to figure out myself through trial and error, internet searches, and contacting customer support not to mention there are NO videos on the XRS-4500 (which I have been considering upgrading to ) on the YouTube Channel at all. and why would anyone think to go to YouTube and search for a "BuzzTV Global" channel for information on how to get oriented to their BuzzTV device (a video for which doesn't exist yet) or find walk throughs of various processes when there is no information about the YouTube channel provided within the materials that come with any BuzzTV device...??? Going to YouTube to search for user manuals or information that should be contained within a user manual is certainly not intuitive by any means....
  3. You need to push in the reset button (pin hole to the side of IR jack) and then power up while holding it in, until the menu appears on the screen. I've just been informed that when the BT-100 is paired (via Bluetooth), the IR extender is disabled. If it is not paired, it functions as an IR remote via the IR extender. As an IR remote, I was told, it will wake the ST4000. But it cannot be paired for this function to work... I've been told.
  4. One would think a "user guide" would be included with any BuzzTV unit that might explain basic operations, locations of various items on the menus, how to set up the IPTV, and how to do a "pin reset" and what conditions under which a reset might be needed... or even be available for download from the website... but apparently not. But thanks for the info, for future use... and to help others who need the info.
  5. As I said, the IR extender is connected, and yes, it is where the remote can see it. So, to be more clear - It is NOT hidden behind anything. No idea why you would even think that. The IR extender is 1. connected to the ST4000, 2. facing forward, and 3. directly in front of the remote. It does not make any difference at all. Still does not wake up the ST4000.
  6. Also tried updated m3u URL - xxxxxx://xxxxxxxxxx.xxx/dl/us-xxxxxx3u-2020-xx-12-2.m3u - with same poor results.
  7. I tried entering the following m3u for testing purposes - xxxxx://xxxxxxxx/dl/us-xxxxXXXxxx-2020-07-09-2.m3u - it shows "connected" and it shows all of the available channels, but it won't play any when they're selected. It just keeps saying "connecting" with the circle spinning and spinning, indicating it's timing out. I selected Server Settings > M3U > Add M3U Plylist and entered a Portal Name, and entered the M3U Playlist URL, and saved. From the Home Page, I can select Live TV or EPG and channels appear, but they say "no information". When I select a channel, it appears to be trying to connect, but it can't, and the circle icon just keeps spinning... Any idea how to resolve this and get the URL to work...?
  8. All the other keys and the keyboard, and the air mouse, work properly on my ARQ-100, but the power button does nothing. I've tried entering "learning mode", but that hasn't done anything. Has anyone run into this and found a solution to get the power button to function on the ARQ-100...?
  9. Yes, the ARQ-100 has two batteries, one on either end of the remote. To reset the remote by removing a battery, only one battery needs to be removed and put back in place. This is why a reference is made to remove the battery [at one end] and put it back in. Only one battery needs to be disconnected and reconnected, although the ARQ-100 does actually use 2 batteries, which are located one at each end of the remote.
  10. After the initial update was able to finally be completed, the ST4000 initially booted up to the home screen showing all the icons. After turning the TV off and coming back to it the next day, the screen was totally black when I turned the TV on, set to the HDMI port the Vid Stick is connected to. I switched to a different HMDI port, and then back to the HDMI port the vidstick is connected to, with no response. The vid stick had never responded to either the BT-100 or ARQ-100 remote to wake up after powering off, and was not responsive Unplugging the vid sticks power, waiting 30 seconds, then plugging it back in, it started going through the initialization sequence, only getting to the point of showing the background wallpaper, with the screen going black again after about 60 seconds. It did this a number of times. I then tried doing a pin reset with the power plugged in - same result. I then tried doing a pin reset with the power unplugged, waiting 30 seconds, then plugging it back in - same result. The vid stick will only boot to the background wall paper now, and then goes to a black screen, apparently going to sleep. The power light on the stick itself remains on, but nothing appears on the screen at all after the wallpaper shows on the screen for about 60 seconds, after which the screen goes black. Pin reset does nothing to fix this, whether done with power connected or disconnected, apparently.... I finally left it at the black screen as I began writing up this post, after about 15 minutes the TV screen screen suddenly went to a light grey, then after about 10 seconds the ST4000 home screen showed up with it's icons all showing properly. I then paired the BT-100 remote once again (using the ARQ-100 to press OK once the BT-100 was detected during the pairing process, to allow it to "connect" and complete the pairing), went into Settings > Advanced Settings > Powerkey Definition and selected "Restart" as the power key function. Then pressed the powerkey to reboot the ST4000. After this it rebooted and came up fine and appears to be functioning properly again, with the exception of the power key on the ARQ-100 not functioning at all, while it works fine on the BT100... Hope this might help someone else who may run into this same problem...
  11. I have the IR extender plugged in, and the remote does not wake up the vid stick. I also have the ARQ-100 remote, and it doesn't wake up the vid stick either. Neither remote does.
