A friend recently bought a 4500 from the Global website. It came with a BT-300 remote and she asked me how to get the backlight to work. Once she connected it via bluetooth, she now has to remove the batteries everytime she wants to turn it on. Once on, it works perfectly. Not sure what the issue could be? Is there a button she may have hit or do I need to tell her to contact buzz support? Been about 6 weeks since she bought it. Thanks

I did a factory reset. (Emailed Buzz Global and they told me to do this) and then got it paired again. Went into the remote section and the light on/off option was still dark and couldn't go up to it but the mouse pointer options were lit up. I let it sit there for about 20 seconds or so and then the light on/off lit up and allowed me to turn the light on. Thanks for all the help and glad it works now!

So should I be able to get the backlight working on it? Can't get it to reconnect to bluetooth now but still works no matter where I point it....No accessory connected though when I look under bluetooth.

Lol, you're right, it does light up...Never knew that. Now just have to get the BT-400 backlight on. Wish this new XRS 4500 came with the bt-100. Noticed on Buzz Global where I bought from, it says this comes with the BT-300 but the back of the remote says BT-400. Am I at the correct update as the post from above said there was to be an update to make the BT-300 work......Did I get the wrong remote if it is the BT-400?

Yes....Its actually the 2nd one I bought that came with this remote. I bought one for myself last year and couldn't get that one to light up either. Luckily, it came with a 2nd remote which was also bluetooth but doesn't have the backlight feature. Think its called the ir-100. Just in case this is needed: Firmware V20221115 Version 5.0.799 System Update 2.220914

I just received the XRS 4500 today and the bt-400 will not light up. I can see the menu for backlight and mouse speed but it doesn't let me go up to the light section of the remote. I also checked under bluetooth and it says BT-400 connected.

I just made a new post about this and then found this thread. I just ordered the XRS 4500 from Buzz Global and it does come with the bt-400. So glad I found this thread and hopefully it works as it should when it arrives.......

I just ordered the XRS 4500 and it comes with the BT-400 remote. I read somewhere that the backlight doesn't work with the 4500 as it doesn't get the android 11 update. Is this correct about the backlighting on the remote and the XRS 4500?

I was told to come to this site for warranty purposes for my Boomerang Mate 1 box. I moved the location of my box and when I went to power it on, nothing happens. No lights or anything. Is there an admin here that can help. Was purchased Feb.25th from Amazon. Thanks and awaiting reply
