  1. i totally understand. Thank you for confirming the issue. I knew it was something to do with the suspend mode + background process that are running in bg while the box is a sleep. I bet its ANDRIOD OS issues. I had soooo many phones with android that are doing god knows what while the phone is in my pocket, it would drain battery life like crazy. Something that apple phones dont have an issue with, sometimes they do but gets fixed pretty quick. Anyway, i will keep it on "restart" not a problem, you are right.
  2. Hello everyone, I was wondering if i could get some help on this. There are a few option for U5, one of which is to SUSPEND an other one to RESTART and one more SHUTDOW/Turn OFF in power management. I use SUSPEND all the time since its much faster to wake up the unit after its been turned off and not to wait for the LOGO load on the screen. The problem is and its been happening consistently since i bought it about 6 months ago. 1. Restart the unit. 2. Turn it to SUSPEND = turning off U5, it will go into a "sleep" mode which will allow it to turn back ON much faster. 3. Watch a few movies. Does not matter in which format or length but usually i watch UHD 4k off the network shares. 4. Turn off using SUSPEND. 5. After few days when i got back to continue watching the same movie OR the movies that i watched the other day. U5 is lagging while trying to load the move. The unit it self works fine, it loads PLEX or any other "video player" no problem, no issues BUT when it tries to play the movie that worked just fine a few days ago, its take much longer to load and once it does playing, it stops every few seconds and complains that internet/network connection is slow. Same movies worked before just fine. 6. To fix this I go to options and restart U5, it restarts with the loading logo, takes 10-15sec or so and its back to working fine, playing the same movies without any slowdowns. Any ideas why it happens? At first i thought it was some connection issue between U5 and cat cable. Everything looks fine, there are nothing happening on the network when those issue appear, no file transfers, no one is watching HD movies anywhere else in the house. Latterly, nothing special. More importantly, restarting the until fixes the issue right the way which makes me thing that when the U5 un suspend mode, it maybe running some background commands like checking apps updates and such which bags down the android OS that would be not unheard off. Anyway was wondering if anyone else is using the until in SUSPEND mode all the time without any issues. With Respct Dantes.
  3. Thaaank you for releasing this update. Much appreciated. I was wondering if its a good time to ask IF its all possible to add to the feature "Added Network sharing option which makes your internal device storage visible to other devices and computers on your home network which can be disabled in Buzz Utilities" Can we have same option working but for ANY USB drives and not just internal connected to the unit. PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
  4. Hello, Let me explain. There are a few options how it can turn on and off using remote 1. restart 2. suspend 3. turn off the order might be different but u know what i mean. I have it set to suspend. I use it because i like i like for the player to wake up quick when i turn it on. It works great but from time to time when i try to watch the movie it starts to load it very slow. It starts to play a movie and then every 5-7 seconds it stops, waits and continues to play then stops again and on and on. i thought its transcoding issue with Plex. Not the case, same movie playes without any issues on the pc with plex installed. Its not the hard drive speed so it must be network. Im using wired connection. Im using power line network adapters and i know theyre not as good good as have it directly connected to network router but it is what it is. Once I reset the device through the menus and choose “restart” as an option. Same video file that was lagging just a minute ago works perfectly without interruptions after the restart. For the long time i was thinking it must be my connection. Maybe its too slow to drag 20gigs media file over network and that would be the case but why after restart of the unit everything works. i blame android operating system. Do you think that can be it? It needs to be restarted from time to time to refresh something ps, i dont have anything else installed on the unit it self. Except jellyfin but i dont run them side by side. any ideas or has anyone else have seen this with theyre unit?
  5. Thank you for your answers much appreciated it. One more question if thats okey. Its somewhat different. Im running Jellyfin and for some reason when i try to open any video file from the library it fails. Something about too many errors, that’s the message on the screen. I try to open an other and an other, same issue. In order to make it work i tried to get out of Jellyfin and then reopen it again. After that everything starts to work no problem, all videos that didnt play a minute ago start to work no problem any idea whats up with that?
  6. The reason why im asking. I have blueray library and watching large files over network doesnt always work even if its over wired connection. I have 8tb hdd connected directly to U5. I have jellyfin installed on windows PC. It used to be Nvidia Shield would share that drive and it would show up in windows. jellyfin Would have full access to it using my pc. The moment any movie shows up on that 8tb drive it would be accessed by nvidia shield and played directly off it.
  7. Hello, I am trying to use my PC which is on the same network and connected to my U5 by the network cable. U5 has HDD attached to it, no problem seeing it and playing files off it. Now i am trying to access the same BuzzTV USB HDD but from my PC. Is it possible and if so what would be the easiest way to do that ?
