My problem with recording with my X5 box is the fact that I can't turn my TV off after starting a recording. As soon as I do it cancels the recording. Doesn't matter if I turn the TV off with the TV remote or manually by hand. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to get around this?......thanks

Hopefully this question is ok here....Recording is very important to me.....I'm looking at the XRS4900 and the X5.....really like the look of the XRS4900 and not sure I like the remote of the X5.....but recording and functionality are key....what box does everyone here think is better?

Wow 23 views and not one reply.....brutal.....I really like the 4900 and recording is very important to me.....I find with my Buzz Essentials E1+ box I got the best recording results from first formatting my USB stick in NFTS.....and once I set up a recording or recordings don't touch anything....lol......on trying to record 3 shows in a row it has been successful with the first 2 at one hour each but usually craps out the third within 20 min.....and I have been successful recording a two hour movie

On this box the version is: 4.0.519

So are there any boxes Buzz make that can actually record for 2 or 3 hours without issues??

So I just tried formatting my stick to NFTS and tried recording "The Batman" movie.....I got an hour and a half before it quit recording and then subsequently locked up my box

I don't even know what buzz5 is...lol.....I'm new.....are you talking about providers?

it's all over the place.....sometimes only records 20 min of a 2 hour recording.....sometimes records1 3/4 of a 2 hour program

I'm trying to record with this box and no matter which way I do it the recording always stops before the end....very frustrating......I'm using a 32 GB stick.....has anyone been successful here at recording?.......am I missing something here?.......any help would be appreciated.........thanks
