The Guide button on all of our remotes is a Universal Remote Button Which means its programmed to open the Guide of the Buzz app from anywhere on the box Lots of users use this, and the remote + box + app are fully designed around the Buzz app. We have no plans to remove the way the Guide Button is programmed on our remotes. So if this doesn't satisfy you, I would suggest getting a different remote for the box. Making the change you're requesting would upset a ton of more users than it would please, as we would be changing user behavior that has existed for over 6 years. no combining multiple EPG sources to prioritize against a single provider feed to fill gaps and manually assign missing info, no EPG channel logo editing for streams, etc. We have plans to add this in the future, but no set timeline. As currently more than 95% of our users do not use this and only use 1 provider per box, either MAC or XC Login. Hopefully this answers your questions

Good for you. I am also from Québec, and I speak 3 languages fluently. And you want to talk about arrogance (from your comments in the previous post), feel free to look in the mirror, since YOU were the arrogant one, making assumptions that it was the box that was at fault and no matter what anyone said (to try to help and guide you to the source of the issues you were experiencing), you would get upset and continued expecting a fix/patch for the box. Buzz is usually pretty quick in issuing fixes for minor issues that needs fixing. Hell, I've even gotten fixes pushed withing hours of reporting issues (and I'm sure many other here have also). If you know everything, then I don't see why you even bother asking questions, especially when you refuse to accept any guidance. We all have lives outside these forums (you are no exceptional god - sorry to burst your bubble). With at least 15 buzztv boxes in our possession and access to multiple services, many of us have seen and experienced a little more than the average iptv user. So when possible, we try to help people as much as possible. And if the issues are found to be legit buzz box hardware or software issues (which your issue was not), and we can reproduce them, they are put in the queue and depending on the criticality of the issues, they gets addressed by buzz in upcoming loads.

I think this was a mistake We currently have 5 or so users with this issue It seems to only happen with users that are using Mesh Networks for their Wifi We cannot reproduce it ourselves though, so it makes it difficult to fix. Were in contact with Amlogic in regards to a solution for this We currently have one in their new SDK, but the SDK has some other bugs so were waiting on fixes for that.

We have a new way for Backup/Restore that were going to offer soon Which is TWRP. We removed our current solution because it wasn't working properly and took way too long to Backup. You said you're a trained network admin Yet for 2 years you can't figure out the issue? There is nothing to fix on our side. Issue is on your side. The Ethernet port speed on the 4000s work fine.

If you mean pre install the apps into a Firmware update No we have no plans to do that. A lot of those can be easily found in the Playstore already. We try to limit pre installed apps as they just add to the size of a Firmware and also bloat ware for the users that don't use them at all.

We have located the issue down to a Firmware issue So will need to fix it on there.

So to update on this bug that was reported. We looked into this. We found out Audio Passthrough for 5.1 Audio was broken on the Linux Kernel. We were able to fix it and can confirm it works via SPDIF (U5 + X5s) and HDMI for Passthrough We tried it on the Buzz 5 App + Plex + Kodi + VLC. Were just doing some more testing on it, but everything looks good so far So we will include this fix on our next OTA update scheduled for early November.

Use this as a rule of thumb for cache size 1GB of Cache is equal to about 30-60 Mins of Live TV for TimeShift, depending on channel quality So 10GB would be 5-10 Hours And yes it overwrites itself once the cache fills up.

The update you're reporting on came out in February. And this issue only appeared this week. So the issue is on their side or they changed something this week and broke something. It's impossible an issue like this would go unreported for almost 2 months. If there was a problem we could fix. We would. We always have. And it was tried on stb emu + mag and both had the same issue. The log clearly shows the issue is on their side.

Finally, I resolved the issue. Had to unistall buzztv 5 updates, turn surround sound off. Then buzztv 5 reinstalled updates by itself and the sound bar is still working

I would strongly recommend to disable any CEC options in the box and the TV. I have seen TVs which claim to have CEC support and the implementation is crap. Another possible issue is a bad HDMI cable. Since CEC goes over the HDMI cable, a defective cable (which can happen) could cause all sort of sporadic chaos including random power on/off if CEC is enabled. For the server entries and all the setup, you will be glad to know that the latest beta firmware has a full backup/restore option which allows you to backup your servers, favorites, etc... And then easily restore them It actually works well. So it is a feature which will be deployed to everyone as soon as it is felt that it is ready for public deployment.

Maybe you should get a life dude. It's just a TV streaming box. It's entitled people like you that think that as soon as they have a problem everyone will drop everything to help them, and just them. I just made a factual statement, and did not insult anyone. Just pointing out that you have no patience, and you can wait a few days for a reply. Like Ryu mentioned, many of us here have quite a few buzz boxes, and hence we try to help others from the experience we have. Here is a small glimpse into the number of boxes some of us have (and some multiples of each). Others have even more. Never had a problem with a single box. If you find something else better, then knock yourself out. If you didn't like the first 2 boxes, then why did you try a third time ? There is obviously something pulling you back to these boxes that other boxes lack. And in regards to one of your previous comments "Wi-Fi and it was faster than my ethernet with the Cat 6 cable. Now that makes zero sense to me." It does make sense. The Ethernet port on the box you have is not a GbE, it is only 100mbps. And as I had mentioned in another thread, even though the network port is a 10/100, it does not mean that it can reach it's full potential. All of these connections to the outside world, need to connect to the CPU, and it all depends on what communication lanes they are using or sharing with other devices. The I/O on the AMlogic Gen2 chips (the S905X2 CPU used on this box) was not stellar (this was the biggest issue). IF I recall everything shared a single PCIe lane. The 5Ghz band WiFi on most of the S905X2 based boxes (not only Buzz), was the only way to achieve around 90+Mbps. Probably due to the way it was connected internally. On the driver point of view, you are at the mercy of amlogic. And much of it's SDK was in binary blobs only, so you don't have the sources to all of it. Making it very difficult to modify built in features like ethernet drivers.

Ok yes we see this issue Were working on getting it resolved with Teamviewer directly It seems the custom add on they made for us does not have support added for Android 11 That is why only screen share works Were also working on a backup solution in the meantime to be included soon in a future update.

This is a good suggestion But after some discussion with the team, its currently not doable as it would take too long to resize all of our menus to support this feature We will try to increase the Font sizes though a bit in a future update We have done this already for Movie Info + TV Show Episodes and Info pages, to be included on our next update.
